The training includes modules on
1.Basic Safety training
1.1 Personal Survival Techniques (PST) is a 3-day mandatory training module under the STCW course, designed to equip seafarers with essential survival skills in emergency situations at sea. This training covers crucial survival procedures, including abandoning ship, using life-saving appliances, and responding to maritime emergencies such as shipwrecks.
1.2 Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (FPFF) is a 3-day mandatory STCW training module that equips seafarers with the knowledge and skills to prevent, control, and extinguish fires on board ships. This training prepares candidates to handle fire emergencies effectively, ensuring safety at sea. The course covers fire prevention techniques, the chemistry of fire, types of fire-fighting equipment, and emergency response procedures.
1.3Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities (PSSR) course is a 4-day mandatory STCW training module designed to familiarize seafarers with safety procedures, emergency response, and shipboard working conditions..The course covers essential topics such as accident prevention, safe working practices, emergency procedures, teamwork, pollution prevention, and social responsibility on board.
1.4 Elementary First Aid (EFA) course is a 2-day mandatory STCW training module designed to equip seafarers with basic first aid knowledge and skills required to handle medical emergencies at sea. This training ensures that participants can provide immediate and effective first aid in case of injuries or medical incidents on board.
2. . Security Training for Seafarers with Designated Security Duties (STSDSD) course is a 2-day mandatory STCW training program designed for seafarers assigned specific security-related responsibilities on board ships. This course provides the necessary knowledge and skills to enhance maritime security and respond to security threats effectively.
